Iranian envoy asks U.N. to stop U.S. threats
Iran's ambassador to the United Nations has urged U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan and the U.N. Security Council to stop "Washington's illegal and impudent threats against Iran," the state-run Iranian news agency IRNA reported.

Egypt`s parliament okays two-year extension of emergency law
CAIRO, 05/01 - The Egyptian People`s Assembly, the lower house of Egypt`s parliament, has approved on Sunday the extension of the state emergency law for another two years, the official MENA news agency reported.
